Patanjali’s Acharya Balkrishna on Tuesday emphasized the importance of Hartalika Teej. The festival, he said, connects with the traditions of the ‘Sanatan Sanskriti ‘ and strengthens cultural heritage.
He further said that the festival brings together people from different communities, especially the mothers and daughters in the society (women), and brings a feeling of joy and brings pride.
Extending Hartalika Teej greetings to the women who had come from Nepal, and from different Indian states, Acharya said the grandeur of the event reflects the tremendous enthusiasm among the people.
A grand celebration of Hartalika Teej Mahotsav 2025 was held at East Delhi’s Yamuna Sports complex on Tuesday, organized by Yog Rishi Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna.
Balkrishna also emphasized that the event was organise to spread the message of peace and joy through the Hartalika Teej, so that the festival is also known to the people of the nation.
Delhi’s Art and Culture minister Kapil Mishra, Nepal’s Ambassador to India, Shankar Prasad Sharma, along with a large gathering of the Nepali-Gorkhali communities and citizens of Delhi, took part in the celebrations.
Addressing the gathering, Mishra said from the coming year, the Delhi government will participate in such events with complete support and commitment.
He said festivals like Hartalika Teej strengthen spiritual traditions, and the celebration is a symbol of the unbreakable cultural bond between India and Nepal.
Mishra also stated that this celebration not only highlights the religious significance of the festival but also brings alive the shared values and traditions between the two nations.
He lauded the Nepali community, saying that it is a society that carries forward traditions of bravery, valor, and Sanatan Dharma.
Meanwhile, people coming from the Nepali and Gorkhali communities displayed their traditions, while with shared values of Indian and Nepali cultures.
On this occasion, the indoor stadium at the sports complex was immersed in the joy and enthusiasm of Teej, while women reverently observed the Shiv-Parvati Vrat Katha, and the atmosphere was filled with devotion and celebration through traditional songs, music, and dance performances.
