A day after the first phase of Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017, PM Narendra Modi will addressed rallies in Palanpur, Sanand, Kalol, and Vadodara on Sunday.

Polling in 19 districts of 89 constituencies of Kutch, Saurashtra and South Gujarat on Saturday is expected to cross 70 per cent voting turnout.

Despite allegations from the Congress about faulty EVMs, and voting machines connected to Bluetooth, the polling went off smoothly.

The Election commissioner rubbished the claims of the Congress Party regarding EVMs connected to Bluetooth.

The faulty EVMs that were reported at a few places in Rajkot and Surat were replaced during voting and the time of voting was also extended beyond 5 pm for those places, where voters lost out on time due to faulty EVMs.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has organised 15 rallies between 8 – and 11 December.

On 8 December, PM Modi visited Bhabhar, Kalol, Himmatnagar, and Nikol. On 9 December, he conducted rallies in Lunawada, Bodeli, Anand, and Mehsana.

PM Modi after addressing a rally in Palanpur and Sanand on 10 December, conduct a rally in Kaalol (Panchmahal) and is scheduled to visit Vadodara at 6 pm.

At the Palanpur rally, PM Modi began his speech by thanking the people for their love and affection.

PM Modi mentioned how Congress’s Mani Shankar Aiyar had insulted him and the people of Gujarat by using foul language. The Prime Minister also mentioned that Mani Shankar Aiyar had a secret meeting with the Pakistan High Commission and Pakistan is interfering in Gujarat elections.

Modi alleged that former Pakistan Army director general Arshad Rafique was willing to help make Ahmed Patel the chief minister of Gujarat.

PM Modi seemed to have a sore throat and was not able to speak clearly. While concluding, PM Modi spoke about Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor which is supposed to cover Banaskantha and make it a transport hub and provide more employment opportunities to the youth

Interestingly, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is also set to address several election rallies on Sunday in Kheda’s Dakor, Aravali district’s Aravali and Shamlaji, and Banaskantha district’s Deodha.
