Election Commission revises SIR schedule for six states and Union territories

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday extended the timeline for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in six states and Union Territories.

The SIR dates have been revised for Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andaman and Nicobar, and Uttar Pradesh.

The decision was taken following the requests from CEOs of these states.

Given below is the revised SIR schedule for Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar

Tamil Nadu: Revised date for submission of Remuneration forms: December 14, 2025; revised date for publication of draft voter list: December 19, 2025

Gujarat: Revised date for submission of Remuneration forms: December 14, 2025; revised date for publication of draft voter list: December 19, 2025

Madhya Pradesh: Revised date for submission of Remuneration forms: December 18, 2025; revised date for publication of draft voter list: December 23, 2025

Chhattisgarh: Revised date for submission of Remuneration forms: December 18, 2025; revised date for publication of draft voter list: December 23, 2025

Uttar Pradesh: Revised date for submission of Remuneration forms: December 26, 2025; revised date for publication of draft voter list: December 31, 2025

Andaman & Nicobar: Revised date for submission of Remuneration forms: December 18, 2025; revised date for publication of draft voter list: December 23,2025

However, the remuneration period in West Bengal, Goa, Lakshadweep, and Rajasthan will end on Thursday, December 11 and the draft electoral rolls for these states and Union Territories will be published on December 16.

The SIR schedule for Kerala has already been revised and the enumeration period in the South Indian state will end on December 18, 2025 and draft electoral roll will be published on December 23, 2025.
