Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held a strategic meeting with Quantum‑Systems GmbH, a leading German-Israeli company, in Germany on Wednesday.
The meeting focused on promoting cutting-edge unmanned aerial systems (UAS), drone technology, and aerospace manufacturing in the state.
Representatives from Germany’s System Helsing (HX-2 AI combat drone), Dronivo GmbH, Quantum Systems (VTOL drone), SIA Origin Robotics, and Aronia (drone detection) informed the Deputy Chief Minister that they are global leaders in developing high-altitude unmanned platforms with advanced aerial surveillance, defence-grade reconnaissance, and an operational range of approximately 160 kilometres. The company’s technology is used by the armed forces of Germany and Spain and has proven effective in areas such as precision agriculture, land surveying, and disaster management.
The UP government has formally invited the company to establish a manufacturing unit and research and development (R&D) hub in the state.
Maurya shared information about the state’s investment-friendly policies, strong industrial infrastructure, excellent logistics connectivity, and vast skilled talent pool.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that Uttar Pradesh is rapidly progressing towards becoming the country’s leading hub for defence production, aerospace manufacturing, and emerging technologies. Drones and unmanned systems are a crucial component of the future economy and security architecture, and such investments will create high-skilled employment opportunities for the state’s youth. Technology-driven industrial growth is being accelerated by integrating electronics manufacturing, data, AI, and the drone ecosystem, with the participation of global companies playing a key role.
The meeting also reached a positive consensus on establishing long-term collaboration between the two sides in the areas of manufacturing, research, skill development, technical training, and technology transfer.
Maurya said this collaboration will significantly strengthen India’s aerospace and unmanned systems ecosystem and develop Uttar Pradesh as a global drone innovation hub.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that high-tech industries will expand in the state, providing a strong foundation for the goals of “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
