Lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his tireless service and dedication to India’s development, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday said the successful 12-year Modi regime has focused on the welfare and empowerment of women, youth, farmers, and the poor.

Addressing media persons in Bhopal two days after the completion of Modi’s 12 years in power, Pradhan pointed out that the main change in the governance system has been that Modi has put the “politics of performance” in place, replacing the “politics of uncertainty” during the previous UPA union government led by the Congress under Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.

Pradhan said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership brought stability and public confidence after a period of political uncertainty.

Pradhan said girls had scaled new heights in education and other fields during the past decade, adding that various global indicators reflected India’s progress in this area.

He also highlighted the growth of the start-up ecosystem, expansion in exports and rapid technological advancement under the Modi government.

“The number of start-ups in India in 2014 was 350. It is now in lakhs,” the Union Minister said.

Pradhan said that the NDA governments led by late Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered better results in 18 years than their political opponents and laid a strong foundation for India’s future growth.

With the support of the people and the guiding principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayaas”, the country was steadily moving towards the goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047, he added.

MP CM Dr Mohan Yadav, MP BJP Chief Hemant Khandelwal and other leaders were also present at the event held at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre.
