A sensational triple murder case has come to light in Ganganoli village of Baghpat district, where a cleric’s wife and his two young daughters were found dead under suspicious circumstances.

The incident occurred in a residential unit above a local place of worship.

The deceased have been identified as Israna (30) and her daughters, Sofia (5) and Umayya (2). They were found in a pool of blood with severe head injuries, indicating they were likely attacked with a heavy object. The scene suggested a violent struggle and a brutal assault.

At the time of the incident, Sofia’s husband Ibrahim was reportedly not at home. He had gone to Saharanpur to attend an official event. His absence is now a significant angle in the ongoing investigation.

The incident came to light around 11:30 am on Saturday, when local residents arrived at the place of worship and found the door to the family’s quarters locked. On noticing blood near the entrance, they forced their way in and discovered the three bodies inside. Local authorities were immediately informed.

Senior police officials, including Meerut DIG Kalanidhi Naithani, visited the scene. A forensic team has collected samples and is assisting with the investigation. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
Ibrahim, originally from Sunna village in Muzaffarnagar, had been living in Ganganoli with his family due to his work at the local institution. Residents said the family had been staying in a room on the upper floor.

Police have begun questioning nearby residents and checking for any possible surveillance footage in the area. As of now, the motive behind the murders remains unclear.

Due to the seriousness of the crime and its location, there is a heightened sense of fear and tension in the village. In response, a heavy police presence has been deployed around the area to ensure peace and prevent any potential unrest.

Authorities have assured the public that all leads are being thoroughly pursued and that those responsible will be brought to justice swiftly.
