Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the state’s development agenda, focusing on key areas such as infrastructure, industries, and tourism in Bastar, the Prime Minister’s Office said Friday in a post on handle X.
The meeting aimed to explore ways to transform Maoist-affected areas into hubs of growth and development.
As per reports, CM Sai presented a master plan to develop Bastar, outlining strategies to boost infrastructure, industries, and tourism in the region.
The state’s new industrial policy was discussed, highlighting single-window clearance, tax incentives, and business-friendly policies to attract major companies to Chhattisgarh.
During the meeting, CM Sai emphasised women’s empowerment and rural development as top priorities, with initiatives to promote self-employment and financial independence for rural women.
The Chief Minister also briefed PM Modi that, following coordinated efforts by security forces and public participation, the menace of Naxalism in Chhattisgarh was in its final phase.
The meeting follows CM Sai’s previous interactions with PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, where they discussed strategies to completely eradicate Maoism and accelerate Bastar’s development. The meetings demonstrate the government’s commitment to working together to drive growth and progress in Chhattisgarh.
