BJP releases Star Campaigners’ list for Bihar Assembly Elections: PM Modi, Shah, Nadda, Adityanath among 40 heavyweights

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP president and Union Health Minister JP Nadda, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh figure in the star campaigners’ list released by the BJP on Thursday ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.

Top leaders, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, his counterpart in Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, Himanta Biswa Sarma in Assam, Rekha Gupta in Delhi, and Mohan Yadav in Madhya Pradesh, are among the 40 star campaigners for the saffron party.

The Union Ministers who will campaign for the BJP in the high-octane Bihar assembly polls include Nitin Gadkari, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Dharmendra Pradhan, Giriraj Singh, Nityanand Rai, and C R Patil.

The letter issued by Arun Singh, National General Secretary and Headquarter In-charge of the Bharatiya Janata Party, lists former minister Smriti Irani, UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, his counterpart in Bihar, Samrat Choudhary, former minister and MP Radha Mohan Singh, former minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, and former ministers who hail from Bihar– Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Sanjay Jaiswal.

Bhojpuri actors—Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan and North-East Delhi lawmaker Manoj Tewari—will also campaign for the party candidates in Bihar.

Bhojpuri playback singer-actor turned politician Pawan Singh, BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde, and the party’s prominent tribal leader Babulal Marandi are also included in the list released by the party.

The first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections will take place on November 6, with the second phase of voting on November 11. More than 7.4 crore electors of the state will cast their votes. The counting of votes will take place on November 14.
