In the first 15 days of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, approximately 57.48 per cent of enumeration forms have been collected in Bihar, with 16 days still remaining, the Election Commission said in a press note on Wednesday.

“As of 6 PM today, 4,53,89,881 enumeration forms have been collected, which is 57.48% of the total 7,89,69,844 registered voters in Bihar,” the poll panel said. It added that 83,12,804 forms were collected in the last 24 hours alone, accounting for 10.52% of the total forms collected so far.

Out of the 7.90 crore forms printed, approximately 98% (7.71 crore) have already been distributed to voters, the Commission noted.

The active participation of voters, along with the dedicated efforts of election officials, volunteers, and booth-level agents, has significantly contributed to the progress in form collection. If the current pace continues, the process is likely to be completed well before the scheduled deadline of July 25, the EC stated.
