Calling the mandate of Bihar a strong endorsement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies and leadership, former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, Jai Ram Thakur, said that the results of the Bihar Assembly elections have conveyed several clear messages.

Addressing a celebration event organised at CTO Chowk in Shimla, he said that the people of Bihar have once again given an overwhelming majority to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), proving that the country is no longer willing to fall for the lies, deception, and theatrics of the Congress and the Mahagathbandhan.

He said that Prime Minister Modi has given Indian politics a new definition of pro-incumbency. Even after 20 years, such a massive mandate reflects the people’s continued faith in the Prime Minister’s leadership, policies, and development-oriented politics. According to him, the transparent and welfare-oriented governance model under Modi ensured that every rupee reached the beneficiaries directly, eliminating the role of middlemen.

Jai Ram Thakur congratulated Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda, and all NDA leaders on the resounding victory.

Targeting the Congress and the opposition alliance, he said that the people of the country and Bihar have repeatedly rejected the negative, divisive, and disruptive mindset of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress. He said that the public can no longer be misled by false promises, populist slogans, or fabricated guarantees. Whenever Rahul Gandhi made indecent remarks against Prime Minister Modi, the people gave him a strong response. Even in these results, the Congress is virtually invisible in Bihar, and its leaders have failed to gain public acceptance.

Launching a scathing attack on Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Jai Ram Thakur said, “Sukhu is notorious for making false claims, and had gone to Bihar as a star campaigner of the Congress, becoming the brand ambassador of ‘guarantees’. However, the bundle of lies he presented there eventually collapsed. Despite campaigning in the highest number of districts, avoiding discussion in the Assembly on the disaster situation, and holding a ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar, the Congress was pushed to almost 5-6 seats. Even reaching double digits has become a distant dream for the party.”
