Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) President Rajesh Ram on Friday launched a special digital drive titled the “Srijan Saathi Public Outreach Campaign” aimed at strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level while making it more transparent and accountable.
He said the primary objective of the campaign is to directly connect party leadership and organisational positions with grassroots workers and the general public, thereby making the organisational structure more robust and democratic.
This campaign is part of the larger ongoing organisational efforts to revamp the party aimed at selecting district presidents and strengthening local leadership.
Rajesh Ram stated that under this campaign, interested individuals can register as “Srijan Saathi” and associate themselves with the ideology and organisational activities of the Congress party.
To become a Srijan Saathi, the applicant must be a registered voter of Bihar and at least 18 years of age. Additionally, the applicant should not be a member of any other political party and must have full faith in the party’s constitution and ideology.
Rajesh Ram said those interested in becoming Srijan Saathi will need to download the BPCC App from the Play Store and register through it. Through this app, workers and supporters will be able to connect directly with the organisation and receive regular updates about party activities, programmes, and campaigns.
He further informed that a valid voter ID and a recent photograph will be mandatory for registration. A fee of Rs50 has been fixed under this outreach campaign, and the membership will generally be valid for five years.
Rajesh Ram said the party has also set clear targets for organisational positions through this campaign. All 53 organisational district presidents in Bihar have been asked to implement the drive. Each district president will be required to enroll 2,000 Srijan Saathis and monitor the targets set for block- and state-level aspirants in their respective districts.
Since this campaign is part of the larger ongoing organizational efforts to revamp the party aimed at selecting district presidents and strengthening local leadership, aspirants for the post of Block President must enroll at least 200 Srijan Saathis.
Targets have also been fixed for state-level positions: aspirants for the post of State Vice President must enroll 3,000 Srijan Saathis, General Secretary aspirants must enroll 2,000, State Secretary aspirants must enroll 1,000, and those seeking district-level positions must enroll 200 Srijan Saathis.
