Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati, though alleging that the Bihar assembly polls were not free and fair, extended congratulations and heartfelt gratitude to its workers and supporters for ensuring the victory of its lone candidate, Satish Kumar Singh Yadav, from the Ramgarh Assembly seat (Constituency 203) in Kaimur district in the state Assembly elections.
According to the statement on X made on Sunday, Mayawati claimed that the BSP members and supporters “stood firm with courage” throughout the counting process. The party alleged that there were several attempts made for recounting and coordinated pressure by the administration and rival political parties to defeat the BSP candidate. However, the party credited its “brave workers” for preventing what it described as a conspiracy.
The BSP chief further claimed that although its candidates gave a strong fight in several other constituencies in the region, they were unable to secure victories.
The statement asserted that, based on internal feedback, the party might have won more seats had the elections been “completely free and fair.” It urged party members not to be discouraged and instead to prepare even more rigorously for the future.
In its message, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh expressed deep gratitude to all office-bearers, workers, and well-wishers who worked tirelessly during the campaign. The party called on its cadres to continue their efforts in Bihar with full dedication so that the state can move toward the vision of “Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay” (for the welfare of all, for the happiness of all), inspired by Dr BR Ambedkar and Kanshi Ram.
