Benefits of public welfare schemes are reaching the last person in line: Rajnath Singh


Defence Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh claimed that the country’s defense production is steadily increasing with most defense equipment now manufactured domestically. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India’s global reputation has grown, and public welfare schemes are reaching the last person in line.

Rajnath Singh was speaking at the Intellectuals and Senior Citizens Dialogue program organized by the BJP Lucknow Metropolitan in Cantt Division-1 of the Cantt Assembly constituency. Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak, BJP Metropolitan President Anand Dwivedi, and many intellectuals were also present.

Referring to the startup sector, the Defence Minister said today, there are nearly two lakh startups operating in the country, and unicorn companies symbolize India’s new economic power. He said that the talent and innovation of the youth are taking the country to new heights.

He pointed out that Lucknow is becoming an important center for defense production and research. Several defense-related units, including the BrahMos missile project, have been promoted. Besides, the expansion of DRDO laboratories provides research and innovation opportunities for the youth.

Rajnath Singh said that after becoming an MP in 2014, traffic congestion was a major problem in Lucknow. To address this, the Ring Road project was given priority, and the city’s residents are benefiting today. He said that the construction of the Ring Road has significantly improved the traffic system.

Referring to Uttar Pradesh, he said that the law and order situation has improved significantly. Five international airports have been constructed in the state, and important projects like the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway will be inaugurated soon. He added that an international convention center and other infrastructure are also being developed in Lucknow.

He said that despite global challenges and international crises, India remains in a strong position. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is moving forward with confidence, and India’s pride will not be allowed to bow under any circumstances.

People expressing gratitude for the construction of the Awadh Underpass in Alambagh, they said that it has significantly relieved the problem of traffic jams. Intellectuals praised Lucknow’s rapid development and demanded the extension of the metro to various areas of the city.

Representatives of the Sikh community demanded a direct air service from Lucknow to Amritsar or the Vande Bharat train. They also suggested the development of a permanent cultural center or meeting place for religious and social events of the Sikh community.

The program also emphasized the need to further accelerate efforts related to green development, tree planting, and environmental protection. Decisions taken in the interest of advocates were also appreciated.
