Ayush institutes nationwide are prepping up for a sanitation program across the country through the launch of Special Campaign 5.0, an official statement from the Ministry highlighted on Monday.
As part of this effort, Ayush institutes, research councils, and national organisations will step up cleanliness drives across campuses and public areas, including herbal gardens, water bodies, bus stations, and community spaces.
The statement informed that through this mission, senior officials and community members from the ministry will pitch in to make India cleaner, greener, and waste-free.
The ministry spotlighted its achievements of the Special Campaign 4.0, which ran for nearly ten months, between November 2024 and August 2025. Core areas for the campaign included “streamlining operations, improving workplace environments, and addressing pending matters with renewed urgency,” the statement noted.
Officials pointed out the successful implementation of this plan through the resolution of matters raised both by politicians and the general public. Underscoring an improved public redressal system, with enhanced transparency and efficiency, the ministry cited disposal of 6 references from Members of Parliament (MPs), 12 Parliamentary Assurances, 9 State Government References, 10 PMO References, 1116 Public Grievances, and 121 Public Grievance Appeals.
Highlighting its strong commitment to citizen-centric governance and timely resolution of public concerns, the ministry noted maintaining a top 10 ranking for Grievance Disposal among Central Ministries.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, on May 30, the ministry launched an online Ayush Suraksha Portal in New Delhi to bolster consumer protection and regulatory oversight in traditional medicine.
