Following the recovery of 300 kilograms of RDX in Faridabad and the recent blast in Delhi, security agencies have intensified operations across Uttar Pradesh.

On Tuesday, teams from the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Jammu & Kashmir Police conducted a raid at the residence of Dr Parvez Ansari in Madiyaon area of Lucknow.

Dr Parvez is believed to have links with Dr Shaheen Shahid, who was arrested on Monday in connection with the Faridabad terror module.

Although no one was present during the raid, officials seized several important documents and electronic devices from the house. Based on leads obtained from the site, the team later moved to the Husainganj area for further investigation.

According to sources, the agencies spent several hours combing through the premises. The operation was carried out under tight security provided by Lucknow Police, causing tension in the locality. Officials said that the recovered materials are being examined for possible links between the Delhi explosion and the Faridabad RDX seizure.

Dr Parvez was not at home during the search, but his family members were questioned, and efforts are underway to trace his whereabouts. The ATS also questioned neighbors to gather information about Dr Parvez’s activities, contacts, and visitors.

Locals said he claimed to be associated with Integral University, Lucknow, though his exact role—whether as a faculty member or a medical practitioner—remains unclear. CCTV footage from nearby houses was also reviewed, but nothing suspicious was found.

When the ATS team arrived around 7 a.m., they found a white Alto car (UP 11 BD 3563) parked outside the house, bearing an Integral University gate pass, and a Splendor motorcycle (UP 32 CA 8537) with a doctor’s logo parked inside. Neighbors described Dr. Parvez as a quiet individual who rarely interacted with others or spent much time in the area.

The developments follow the arrest of Dr Mujammil Ahmad, an MBBS student from Al-Falah University in Faridabad, who was caught on October 30 by the Haryana STF. Explosives were recovered from his rented accommodation.

During interrogation, Mujammil named Dr. Shaheen Shahid, who was later detained. Mujammil’s luxury car, registered in Shaheen’s name, was found containing an AK-47 rifle and multiple magazines.

Dr Shaheen, reportedly a practicing doctor at a reputed hospital, is said to be Mujammil’s girlfriend. Her call records, bank transactions, and social media activity led investigators to possible connections in Lucknow.

It also emerged that her grandparents once lived in the Lalbagh area of the city, and she had visited Lucknow several times. These findings prompted the agencies to trace possible links to Dr. Parvez and other individuals.

Following Shaheen’s arrest by the J&K Police on Monday, a joint ATS–J&K Police team conducted a search operation at her residence in Khandari Bazaar, Lalbagh, on Tuesday afternoon, with assistance from the local police.

Officials thoroughly searched the premises and questioned nearby residents as part of the ongoing investigation.
