Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Monday fired a fresh salvo against Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of the Assembly Elections in Bihar, claiming that even people in China and the United States were asking the Indian leader to quit over ‘vote chori’.

Speaking on the concluding day of the Congress’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’, Gandhi further warned that they are about to make another big expose with regard to the alleged vote theft amid the ongoing controversy over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar.

Speaking at a public meeting in Patna, the former Congress president said Prime Minister Modi would not be able to show his face to the people of the country after his party will bring hydrogen bomb of ‘vote chori’. “Have you heard of an atom bomb? I have shown it in the press conference. Now, there is something bigger – the hydrogen bomb. You all must be ready for it. The truth about vote chori will be revealed to the people of the country. After that hydrogen bomb, PM Modi will not be able to show his face to the country,” Rahul told his supporters.

The Congress MP stated that his party has already provided evidence to back their allegation that almost one crore new voters were added in Maharashtra after the Lok Sabha elections. He accused the Election Commission of failing to provide any proof or digital data.

“The forces who murdered Mahatma Gandhi, the same forces are trying to destroy the Constitution of Dr BR Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi. We will not let them destroy the Constitution of India… We received a lot of support during the yatra… The Election Commission of India does not give us the voter list, videography… ‘Vote Chori’ means the theft of our rights, reservation, employment, education, democracy. They will take away your ration card, land and give it to Adani and Ambani,” the Congress leader alleged.

The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha further alleged: “There is a new slogan in Bihar, ‘vote chor, gaddi chhodd’… Even in China and the US, people are saying ‘vote chor, gaddi chhodd’…”

Speaking at the same event, former Bihar deputy chief minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was again trying to steal votes in the poll-bound state. He called on the people of Bihar not to allow the BJP to form the government here.

“They (BJP) will set up factories in Gujarat but want victory in Bihar. Is this going to happen?… The double-engine government running in Bihar has one engine involved in crime and the other in corruption. The names of many people are being deleted from the voter list. You need to protect your votes. Many fake votes are also being added in a very clever manner. Those who are creating trouble in Bihar have to be given a befitting reply…,” Tejashwi said.

“Whatever we said, this (NDA) ‘copycat’ government is doing… This government can copy, but it cannot bring vision or new thinking… Therefore, you people have to decide whether you want a duplicate Chief Minister or an original Chief Minister…,” the RJD leader added.

In his remarks, Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge said, “…PM Modi is attempting to win in Bihar through vote theft. You need to remain vigilant. If you are not careful, these people will drown you…”
