Union Home Minister Amit Shah will pay a day-long visit to the state capital here on October 13.
According to sources, Shah is scheduled to land here by special plane around 11:00 am on October 13. He would soon after proceed to the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECC) to inaugurate an exhibition being organised on theme of the three new criminal laws legislated and promulgated by the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre.
Later in the afternoon, the Home Minister would hold a review meeting through video conferencing with the district collectors and the superintendents of police of all the districts of the state. The meeting would mainly focus on various implementational aspects of the new laws.
Shah will fly back to New Delhi the same evening, the sources said.
The state government has been making elaborated administrative preparation and due arrangements for the VVIP visit.
Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant reviewed the preparation at a meeting of the high officials this afternoon.
