Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana has announced that the All India Presiding Officers’ Conference will be held in Lucknow in January next year.
The assembly speakers and legislative council Chairmen from all over the country will participate in the conference.
During a press conference held here on Monday, after the UP Assembly Monsoon Session, Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana said last year the conference was held in Patna. Before that it was held in Maharashtra, and now it will be held in Lucknow. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Prakash Birla has agreed to attend the conference and the chief minister has given his approval.
He said a team of the Lok Sabha would visit Lucknow in this regard, after which the number of delegates to attend the conference would be decided. The delegates will be taken on a tour of UP, especially Ayodhya, Kashi and Buddhist Circuit.
