Acharya Balkrishna recently shared heartfelt experience from the hills of Uttarakhand. He joined lakhs of devotees at the famous Bukhal Kalika Devi Temple fair in the Pauri Garhwal district. Taking to social media, he described the visit as a journey filled with devotion, struggle, joy, deep spiritual energy.
The temple is located in a remote and difficult hilly region. Reaching there is not easy. Devotees have to walk for several kilometres on steep mountain paths. Yet Acharya Balkrishna said that the long walk never felt tiring. Instead it felt like a grand celebration for him. People of all ages walked together with smiles, faith, excitement. Even the tough journey turned into a joyful festival.
Students from Devprayag Kanya Gurukulam along with sanyasi brothers and sadhvi sisters also took part in the yatra. Despite difficult terrain, everyone enjoyed the spiritual journey with great enthusiasm.

Acharya Balkrishna praised their strong spirit, discipline and devotion. He shared how beautiful it was to see so many young girls, monks, saints walking together with the same purpose and faith.
During the visit, Acharya Balkrishna received a warm and emotional welcome from Uttarakhand cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat and members of temple committee. He expressed gratitude for the love and respect shown to him. He also got the chance to address large gathering present at the fair. Speaking to the crowd, he shared his words of inspiration and some spiritual guidance.
In his message, Acharya Balkrishna prayed for everyone’s happiness and well-being. He said that the divine blessings of Goddess Kali should bring peace, health, prosperity to all lives. He thanked the devotees, organisers, temple committee and local people for their affection and support.
Every year, the Bukhal Kalika Devi fair attracts thousands of pilgrims from across Uttarakhand and nearby states.
