The gangsters were killed in a joint operation by the Delhi Police and Bihar Police, he said.
“The gang was committing crimes almost every month. They were contract killers. They had named their gang ‘Sigma and Company,’ and that itself indicates their intentions,” DGP Kumar said.
The gangsters were reportedly planning a major crime in Bihar ahead of the forthcoming assembly elections.

When the police intercepted the crminals, they allegedly opened fire, prompting a strong retaliation from the police.
“A team of Sitamarhi Police was camping in Delhi and was trying to locate them in coordination with Delhi Police. In this connection, they were being intercepted, which led to an encounter. All 4 were killed,” the Bihar DGP said.
A person ide tified as Aman gave them shelter in Delhi. According to the Bihar DGP, the gang members used to plan their activities outside the state and once the planning would complete, they return to the state and carry out their nefarious actions.
“It was discovered that their plan is to disrupt the Sitamarhi Police and the entire district…It cannot be denied that they could have done something during the elections. They used to go out and plan, and once the planning was done, they used to execute it,” DGP Vinay said.
