The lights were just starting to fade on a regular Monday night when heartbreaking news began to spread. Friends were still scrolling, colleagues were still working, and suddenly, shock. Actor-model Harshil Kalia was gone. The 30-year-old, who was quietly building her way into the entertainment world, died after a late-night car crash in Jaipur. The news left everyone asking the same question: who was Harshil Kalia, and what made her journey so special?
According to reports by NDTV, the accident happened around 11:30 pm on Shipra Path Road. Harshil was returning home from work when her car lost control. The vehicle rammed into a divider and overturned.

CCTV footage reportedly shows the car flipping onto its left side after the impact. Local residents rushed to help. They turned vehicle upright and pulled her out before rushing her to nearby private hospital. Despite quick action, doctors declared her dead due to severe head injuries.
Police have started investigation to understand what exactly happened. Officials are checking whether the car was speeding or if another vehicle tried to overtake her. A post-mortem has been conducted, and her body has been handed over to her family.
Who was Harshil Kalia?
Harshil was slowly making her mark in the entertainment industry. She appeared in the web series ‘Crime Next Door’, which streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.
The show also featured actors like Anupriya Goenka, Yashpal Sharma, Sahil Vaid and Vatsal Sheth. Though her role was part of ensemble, it helped her gain visibility.
Apart from acting, Harshil worked as news anchor and appeared as the lead in several Rajasthani music videos. Recently she had been focusing more on modelling and was actively building her portfolio.
Harshil’s love for performance began early. Growing up in Jaipur, she actively participated in cultural activities during school. Between classes 10 and 12, she was even appointed Head of the Cultural Society.
She later pursued formal training in Kathak at Bhatkhande University, graduating in the classical dance form in 2011.
Harshil also made her presence felt in the pageant circuit. She finished as first runner-up at Miss Diva Rajasthan 2021 and earned recognition at Miss Pink City.
