Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety fame actor Sunny Singh is coming up with yet another interesting drama that demands his character to go bald on-screen. Giving a tough competition to Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala, which also tells the story of a man balding prematurely, Sunny Singh’s upcoming film is named after a slang that is commonly used for bald people.

Titled Ujda Chaman, the film also stars Maanvi Gagroo, Karishma Sharma and Aishwarya Sakhuja. With the first-look poster released by Sunny Singh on his official Twitter handle on Tuesday morning, Panorama Studios International have taken a jibe of the sort at the makers of Bala. A message at the bottom right reads, “Takle ki pehli aur asli film”. It seems to be a straight-up challenge for the makers of Bala.

Just after the poster, the makers have released the trailer. The film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh took to his official Twitter handle to share the trailer of the film. Alongside the trailer, he wrote, ” Trailer of #UjdaChaman… Stars Sunny Singh, Maanvi Gagroo, Karishma Sharma and Aishwarya Sakhuja… Directed by Abhishek Pathak… 8 Nov 2019 release… #UjdaChamanTrailer (sic).”

The 2 minutes 30 seconds trailer gives an insight into Chaman Kohli’s life, who is dealing with premature baldness at the age of 30. Hindi lecturer by profession, the man faced several rejections as a prospective groom because of his baldness. He was badly taunted by his colleagues, boss, friends and family. His life hits rock bottom when an astrologer gives him a deadline to either find a wife for himself in his 30th year or remain a celibate forever. This leads Chaman on a funny and emotional roller-coaster ride of self-discovery and acceptance.

The protagonist, Sunny Singh has also shared the trailer on his official Twitter handle and captioned, “Mujhe maalum hai ki Mein Zyada Handsome nahi hoon.. Par Meri ek hee Khwaaish hai..Ki meri ek Beautiful Biwi ho. Kya mera Sapna Poora hoga? Jaaniye meri Kahaani: http://bit.ly/UjdaChaman (sic).”

Helmed by Abhishek Pathak, the film is slated to release on November 8.
