After her daughter took to social media to dismiss rumours about the death of yesteryear actress Mumtaz, the latter has now come out to publicly declare she is not dead.

Recently, a hoax news spread about the death of Mumtaz after a journalist tweeted a few days ago that Mumtaz has died of cardiac arrest.

The 70-years-old actress has now shared a video message through her daughter’s Instagram account and denied the rumour. She is currently in Rome with her daughter Tanya Madhvani. In the video, she had confirmed that she is in good health.

Mumtaz said in the video: “Mujhe ye dekh kar aur sun kar ajeeb laga ki itne saalo baad bhi mujhe itne logon ka pyaar mila hai aur itne log mere liye worried the. Magar aap sab logon ka pyaar jitna mila hai mujhe, mai kitni khushnaseeb hun. Kitne log hote hain zindagi me jinhein itna pyaar milta hai? Bahut kam! Magar worry mat kijiye, koi bhi pareshan mat hoiye. Mai acchi hu, mera health accha hai. Mere bacche mujhe bahut sambhalte hain, aur mai bahut hi khush hu. Lonely bilkul bhi nahi hu jaisa papers mein aaya tha. Mai bahut khush hoon.. (I was surprised to see that so many people were concerned about me even  after so many years. I’m thankful to have received this kind of love. But don’t get worried, I’m very happy and in good health. I’m not at lonely as it was reported in newspapers. My children are looking after me and I’m happy.)\
