Prior to the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, Alauddin Khilji was the most talked about character in the film. Undoubtedly, Ranveer Singh and Bhansali made the character what it was. The menacing and fierce Khilji that we saw was the one thing that caught most of the attention in the film. Now, the makers have released the making of the sensational character of Padmaavat in the song Khalibali. T-series, on Saturday, revealed the behind the scenes video of the Khalibali song featuring Ranveer Singh.

The song definitely reminds us of the Malhari song from Bajirao Mastani but the craziness portrayed by Ranveer Singh is incomparable. The man behind the iconic song is none other than Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Acharya who choreographed the Malhari song too. Check out behind the scenes video of Khalibali here.

Ranveer Singh left us awestruck with his intense performance. Earlier in an interview, the actor revealed his prep for the character. Ranveer said, “I took 21 days and locked myself up in my Goregaon house. I completely isolated myself, marinated into the character because I can’t relate to Alauddin Khilji, I can’t relate to that level of manipulativeness, greed, and ambition. I had to tap into dark experiences but his worldview is not something I can relate to also.” The insanity that we witnessed the on screens totally seconds the revelations he made.
