Tyla in India: Mumbai is gearing up for a cultural and musical extravaganza this December. The Indian Sneaker Festival (ISF) is ready to make its debut in the city.
The two-day festival promises to bring together music, fashion, food, and street culture.
The festival, scheduled for December 6 and 7 at the MMRDA Grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex, will feature some of the world’s biggest music acts.
Grammy-winning Afrobeats sensation Tyla, American rap star Lil Yachty, Belgian techno DJ Charlotte de Witte, and India’s own superstar DJ Alok are all set to perform. Alok will also unveil his new project, ‘Keep Art Human,’ at the festival.
Tyla, who hails from South Africa and is known for her catchy fusion of pop and amapiano music, expressed her excitement about performing in India.

“I’m thrilled to be part of the Indian Sneaker Festival,” she said. “It’s amazing to see such a vibrant community dedicated to sneakers and street culture. I can’t wait to meet my fans in India for the first time.” Her 2023 single “Water” became a global hit, reaching the top ten charts in South Africa, the UK, and the US.
Lil Yachty, a celebrated American rapper and cultural innovator, is also visiting India for the first time. “I can’t wait to perform in India. Looking forward to celebrating creativity, community, and culture with everyone at the Indian Sneaker Festival,” he shared.
Following the Mumbai edition, ISF will travel to Delhi on December 20 and 21.
