Henry Creel aka Vecna aka One aka Mr Watson’s Backstory

The biggest revelation fans want to know more about is the backstory of Henry Creel. How did he get his powers? Why is he scared of the cave where Max is living? And why did he take 12 children from Hawkins? Vecna is the most complex character in the series. He has endured a lot to become one of the most powerful villains, and everyone is intrigued by how he is so powerful, creating his own dimension and ruling the Upside Down while still being in human form.

Holly the Heroine

Holly’s role has been loved by fans and praised by everyone. Although the character of little Holly Wheeler has been around since the beginning, she was never a major player until Season 5. Now, played by Nell Fisher, Holly becomes the first child to be snatched by a Demogorgon in Vecna’s latest plan. As Henry aka Vecna protected Holly in his memories, Max told her everything about his plans. Holly looked charming in Volume One, but her heroic side will be fully revealed in Volume 2.

The real purpose of Dr. Kay

One of the most mysterious characters in Season 5 is Dr. Kay and her purpose in the Upside Down. In Volume One, we saw her experimenting on the creatures of the Upside Down. But the major cliffhanger involving the capture of Number Eight by Dr. Kay will be resolved in Volume 2. The character is played by Linda Hamilton, one of the most iconic actors of the ’80s, suggesting there is much more to her role than just conducting experiments.

Max awakens

Max was largely absent until Episode 3 in Volume One. Her consciousness exists within memories, allowing her to team up with Holly. This gives Max a prominent role in Volume 2, as she helps uncover Vecna’s secrets and work toward defeating him. In Volume 2, Max will play a major role in saving the Hawkins kids and reuniting with the gang.

Will Byers coming out

It is no secret among fans that Will is in love with Mike. While Will understands that Mike will never see him as more than a friend, Robin helps him realise that he shouldn’t punish himself for unrequited love. And that loving yourself is the first step toward true happiness. Will has begun to embrace who he is, and it would be uplifting to see him share this part of himself with others. This self-acceptance could give him the strength to help defeat Vecna.

There are many other secrets yet to be out in Season 5 Volume 2. What will happen to Eleven and Eight (Kali), whether Joyce and Hopper will finally be together, and who will play the biggest role in killing Vecna: Eleven, Will, or someone else entirely. All these questions will get an answer in ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5, Volume 2.
