From delay to green signal
‘Akhanda 2’ was originally supposed to release on December 5. However, due to last-minute financial hurdles, the film’s release had to be pushed.

The film has already cleared censor formalities and received a U/A certificate.
‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’ teaser featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna
The teaser opens with enemies plotting against India. It sets dark and tense mood. Soon it shifts to Balakrishna who appears in his signature sadhu look. He says: “Where there is bad, there is God also. Be brave.”
This one line alone has sent fans into a frenzy.
The teaser hints at a divine force inside Balakrishna’s character, suggesting that he is no ordinary man. He stands up not only against enemies threatening the nation, but also against dangerous black magic practitioners supporting them.
The sequel is produced by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, with presentation by M. Tejaswini Nandamuri. Industry insiders say Boyapati Sreenu has gone even bigger this time.
Music director S Thaman is expected to deliver a booming background score that will elevate Balakrishna’s intense moments. His music played a huge role in the success of the first film, and expectations are sky-high for the sequel.
The film stars Samyuktha as the female lead, while Aadhi Pinisetty plays a strong and impactful character. Young actress Harshali Malhotra also appears in an important role.
Cinematographers C Ramprasad and Santoshh D Detakae have brought the film’s grand visual vision to life. Editor Tammiraju shapes the final cut.
