What was supposed to be a quiet Bengaluru night suddenly turned into full-blown celebrity drama. Kannada actor Mayur Patel is now making headlines for all the wrong reasons, after a late-night car accident near Domlur.
According to the police, the incident happened late at night near the Command Hospital area in Domlur, East Bengaluru. A Toyota Fortuner, allegedly driven by Mayur Patel, was moving at a very high speed when things went out of control.
The car reportedly rammed into three to four vehicles that were parked along the roadside.
Within seconds, the calm street turned chaotic. Several vehicles were damaged including cars belonging to Srinivas and Abhishek, along with a government vehicle.

Shocked residents rushed out of their homes and immediately alerted the police control room.
Police action and medical test
The Hoysala patrol police team arrived quickly at the scene and took Mayur Patel into custody. He was then sent for a medical examination. The results confirmed what many suspected. The actor had consumed alcohol while driving.
Based on a complaint filed by Srinivas, one of the vehicle owners, the Halasuru Traffic Police registered an FIR against the actor. The Fortuner involved in the accident was also seized as part of the investigation.
As if the situation wasn’t serious enough, police investigation revealed another major issue. The car driven by Mayur Patel did not have valid insurance at the time of the accident.
This has added to his legal troubles and could make things worse for the actor in the coming days.
Social media, of course, did not stay silent. A video clip from the accident spot quickly went viral. In the clip, Mayur Patel is seen stepping out of the damaged car and telling people around him, “I will fix whatever damage is done.”
Mayur Patel is now facing charges related to rash and negligent driving. The Halasuru Traffic Police have confirmed that further investigation is underway, and legal action will follow based on the findings.
