Recently, the makers unveiled the film’s poster featuring Rishab Shetty in a striking new avatar, leaving fans in awe. Alongside him, actors Gulshan Devaiah and Rukmini Vasanth have also been revealed as Kulashekara and Kanakavathi.

‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ is one of Hombale Films’ most ambitious projects yet. The film boasts a stellar creative team, including music director B. Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematographer Arvind Kashyap, and production designer Vinesh Banglan.

Every frame of the movie promises to immerse audiences in the unique folklore, rituals, and natural beauty of coastal Karnataka.

A major highlight of the film is its epic war sequence, designed with the help of national and international experts. This massive sequence involved over 500 trained fighters and 3,000 extras, shot on a rugged 25-acre terrain over nearly 50 days.

The story of ‘Chapter 1’ takes viewers back to pre-colonial coastal Karnataka, exploring the origins of the Bhuta Kola ritual and the ancient myths surrounding divine guardianship of the land.

As a prequel to the original film, it digs deeper into ancestral conflicts, spiritual traditions, and man’s timeless relationship with nature and the divine.

‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ will release worldwide in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English.
