Working simultaneously across OTT, theatre and radio, the actor says the experience feels surprisingly similar to being back in school.
Learning three ‘subjects’ at once
Sourabh shared that performing across multiple formats has pushed him to constantly adapt. “I feel blessed to be performing across three mediums simultaneously — OTT, theatre and radio,” he said.

According to him, each platform demands a completely different approach from an actor, which is both challenging and exciting.
How each medium tests him differently
The actor pointed out that OTT has significantly changed how stories are created and consumed today. Theatre, meanwhile, strips everything back to the fundamentals.
“OTT has changed the consumption and creation in entertainment for viewers and makers, while theatre takes us back to the basics of acting — that too in front of a live audience,” he explained.
Radio, he added, is a different beast altogether.
Why radio feels the most challenging
For Sourabh, voice-only storytelling comes with its own thrill because there are no visuals to support the performance.
“Radio is a complete audio medium where one doesn’t have any visuals to display emotions. Voice modulation becomes extremely powerful,” he said, adding that the format is deeply satisfying for him as a performer.
‘I feel like I’m back to school’
Summing up this phase, Sourabh said juggling these formats feels like learning multiple subjects within the same field.
“I feel like I’m back to school where one is learning different subjects within a similar domain — and I’m loving it,” he shared.
