Hold onto your hips, India! The queen of Latin pop, Shakira, is finally coming back after nearly two decades. 19 years since she made Mumbai sway with her ‘Oral Fixation’ tour in 2007, the Grammy-winning Colombian superstar is all ready to perform in Mumbai and Delhi this April.

Her first stop will be Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Mumbai on April 10, 2026 followed by a bang at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi on April 15. Excitement is already contagious as fans are ready to shake it like ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ all over again.

“India holds a special place in my heart”

Shakira herself shared her excitement saying, “Performing in India has always been special to me… I can’t wait to connect with my fans across Mumbai and Delhi.”

She also revealed the deeper purpose behind this tour for spreading awareness for child nutrition. Partnering with Feeding India and District by Zomato, she aims to make sure every child gets the nutrition they need to thrive.

From ‘She Wolf’ to record-breaking superstar

If anyone needed reminder of Shakira’s superstar status, look no further. She has sold over 100 million records globally and has twice been named Billboard’s Top Female Latin Artist of the Decade.

Her hits ‘Whenever, Wherever’, ‘She Wolf’, ‘Hips Don’t Lie’, ‘Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)’ remain chart-toppers in hearts and playlists alike.

Her latest global tour, ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’, shattered records as the highest-grossing tour ever by a Latin artist earning her a new Guinness World Record and proving she’s still at the top of her game.

India now joins the growing list of countries getting a front-row experience of her magic.

Shakira’s return comes amid a wave of international artists eyeing India. Recently, news of Ye’s standalone show in Delhi highlighted how India is fast becoming a hotspot for global live performances.
