Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero slips on Day 2 at the Box Office

Anand L Rai directorial Zero, which started off with some low reviews, has seen a slip in revenues at the Box Office on the second day of its release. The multi-starrer romantic drama earned Rs 20.14 cr on the release day and kick-started with a fair collection.

On the second day of its run, the film saw a downfall and minted Rs 18.22 crore at the Box Office making its total collection Rs 38.36 crore.

Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and shared the latest figures.

“#Zero slips on Day 2… Biz should’ve witnessed solid growth on Day 2 after an underwhelming Day 1, but is struggling at the BO… Decline on Day 2 [vis-à-vis Day 1]: 9.53%… Fri 20.14 cr, Sat 18.22 cr. Total: ₹ 38.36 cr. India biz,” his tweet read.

Zero deals with a love triangle involving Shah Rukh Khan as Bauua Singh, a vertically-challenged man, Anushka as Aafia, who is suffering from cerebral palsy, and Katrina Kaif in the role of an alcoholic film star.

The film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Colour Yellow Productions, and Gauri Khan. Starring Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan, Zero released on 21 December 2018.
