Actor and singer Rishabh Tandon, best known by his stage name Faqeer, passed away in Delhi after suffering a heart attack. He was reportedly in his mid-30s.
According to reports, Rishabh had travelled from Mumbai to Delhi to celebrate Diwali with his family when tragedy struck on Wednesday night. His family is said to be deeply shocked and has requested privacy while preparing for his last rites.
Rishabh’s sudden death has left his fans and colleagues in shock. He had built a special place in the independent music scene over the years.
Ten months ago, his song ‘Ishq Faqeerana’ went viral making him a familiar name among young music lovers. Apart from singing, Rishabh was also an actor and composer. He began his career in 2008 with T-Series’ album ‘Phir Se Wahi’. Later he went on to appear in films like ‘Faqeer: Living Limitless’ and ‘Rashna: The Ray of Light’.

Some of his other popular songs include ‘Yeh Aashiqui’, ‘Chaand Tu’, ‘Dhoondh Dhoondh Kar Ke’, ‘Faqeer Ki Zubani’.
Rishabh was also an animal-lover. His Mumbai home was full of cats, dogs, and birds that he treated like family.
He is survived by his wife Olesya Nedobegova, a Russian line producer. The couple’s love story began on the sets of a digital series in Uzbekistan, where they met and later got married. Just a few days before his death, Rishabh had shared a picture celebrating Karwa Chauth with Olesya on October 11.
While Rishabh’s professional achievements often spoke for him, his personal life also caught public attention at times. He was once linked to actress Sara Khan after a picture of the two, in which Sara was seen wearing sindoor, went viral online. The rumors of a secret marriage had spread quickly but Sara later denied all speculation.
