Ram Charan’s ‘Rangasthalam’ earns Rs 100 crore worldwide

Telugu film Rangasthalam is breaking records worldwide by crossing the Rs 100-crore mark in just three days.

Rangasthalam, starring Ram Charan, has opened very well at the box office and has become one of the fastest Telugu films to cross the Rs 100-crore mark.

According to reports, Rangasthalam opened to jam-packed shows in the morning and the shows improved in the evening, courtesy — the film’s strong word of mouth.

The film had a magical run across the globe in the first weekend itself and especially in countries like USA, Canada and Australia.

Rangasthalam also had the second best first weekend collections in Australia just behind Padmaavat.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the film’s noteworthy business in Australia as it as it collected more than Rs 1 crore in the opening weekend.

The makers and the lead actors of the film are overwhelmed with the response the film has received. Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who essays the female lead role in the film, wrote: “Overwhelmed by your love .. will always be grateful. I am so proud to be a part of such an amazing team . Sorry I couldn’t be a part of the Thankyou meet today @MythriOfficial See such happy faces. Absolutely blessed. #Rangasthalam.”

Rangasthalam is next to Baahubali 2 in the film’s Telugu version as it earned $2 mn in USA in the first weekend.

From the way the film is performing, it’ll be interesting to see how the film fares in the first week as there is no major competition at the box office.

Directed by Sukumar, Rangasthalam was released worldwide on March 30.
