Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh recently found himself in the middle of an unexpected storm, one that had nothing to do with music or movies. Instead, it began with a series of frightening phone calls. According to reports, the actor-singer received threats from someone claiming a connection to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The messages were serious enough for him to approach the police and ask for protection.
The matter came to light after Pawan Singh’s team filed two separate complaints with the Mumbai Police. The complaints were submitted to the Anti-Extortion Cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch which handles cases related to threats and money demands.

Police officials have confirmed that an investigation is now underway to find out who is behind these calls and messages.
As per IANS report, the threats included warnings and demands for money. The caller allegedly asked the Bhojpuri star to stay away from sharing a stage with Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The warning reportedly came with talk of “serious consequences” if the request was not followed.
The situation became more concerning when similar messages were also sent to people from Pawan Singh’s work team.

The timing of the incident is also being widely discussed. Just a day before the complaints were filed, Pawan Singh had shared exciting news on Instagram. He announced that he would be appearing alongside Salman Khan at the grand finale of “Bigg Boss 19.” In his post, he happily wrote that “Bhaijaan” and “Powerstar Pawan Singh” would appear together on the big stage.
Soon after the post, Pawan Singh did perform at the finale with Salman Khan and former Bigg Boss contestant Neelam Giri. The performance went on as planned.
Media reports say the threatening calls came from multiple unknown phone numbers with links traced from Bihar to Mumbai. Because the messages crossed state lines and involved claims of gang connections, the police are handling the case with care.
This is not the first time well-known names from the entertainment world have received such warnings. In the past, comedian Kapil Sharma was also reportedly warned against sharing the stage with Salman Khan during his show.
