If you’ve been missing the quiet charm of Phulera, here is some good chatter. ‘Panchayat Season 5’ might be on the horizon. And fans may finally see Phulera village come alive on their screens by mid-2026.

After the record-breaking success of Season 4, audiences can hardly wait to catch up with Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, and rest of the cast in next chapter of this rural saga.

The wait has been long, but worth it.

One of those things that makes ‘Panchayat’ so unique is its slow-burn release schedule. Unlike fast-tracked web shows, each season of ‘Panchayat’ arrives after a deliberate pause. But this gives fans time to truly live the story.

The first season premiered on April 3, 2020, followed by Season 2 on May 18, 2022. Season 3 then hit screens on May 28, 2024. Season 4 shortened the gap a bit, launching on June 24, 2025, and smashing viewership records not just in India but around the globe.

The staggered release has only added to the hype. Manish Menghani, Director and Head of Content Licensing at Prime Video India, earlier highlighted the series’ international appeal. He pointed out that the show garnered massive attention in over 180 countries in its first week alone. That is no small feat.

Creators and cast share their love for Phulera

Team behind ‘Panchayat’ has always been open about their emotional connection to the project. Vijay Koshy, President of The Viral Fever (TVF), described the journey as “deeply special,” praising the show’s ability to capture the simplicity and humanity of rural life.

Adding fuel to the excitement, Sanvikaa, who plays Rinki, confirmed that ‘Panchayat Season 5’ is in active development. “The writing has started,” she revealed earlier. “We’re hoping to start shooting either at the end of this year or sometime next year. If all goes well, fans can expect Season 5 around May or June 2026.”

What to expect in Panchayat Season 5

Season 4 ended on a major note. Kranti Devi defeated Manju Devi to become Phulera’s new Pradhan. This political shake-up promises to be key plot point in Season 5 with new rivalries, leadership tussles, subtle humour waiting to unfold.

There are Sachiv ji’s personal dilemmas. There is also Phulera’s politics. This will likely provide some rich, rich storytelling.

Phulera, Phulera everywhere!

It’s not just actors or those scripts that make ‘Panchayat’ special. It’s the village itself. Phulera feels like home. And why would it not? It has quirky residents, little tensions, everyday joys.

Season 5 will build on this foundation letting audiences return to a familiar yet evolving world that is both comforting and entertaining.
