Netflix fans are in for a dark treat as the streaming giant has finally released the official trailer for ‘Monster: The Ed Gein Story’. The series stars Charlie Hunnam as the infamous real-life killer Ed Gein.

Set in 1950s rural Wisconsin, the story introduces Eddie Gein as a seemingly quiet, mild-mannered man living alone on a decaying farm. But beneath the calm exterior lies a horrifying secret: a house filled with macabre discoveries that would shock the world.

Isolation, mental instability, and an obsessive attachment to his mother drive Gein into committing crimes that inspired some of Hollywood’s most iconic horror characters.

From ‘Psycho’ to ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ and ‘The Silence of the Lambs’, Gein’s story became the blueprint for modern horror.

The series brings together a strong ensemble cast alongside Hunnam. Viewers will see performances from Tom Hollander, Laurie Metcalf, Suzanna Son, Vicky Krieps, Olivia Williams, Lesley Manville, Joey Pollari, Charlie Hall, Tyler Jacob Moore, Mimi Kennedy, Will Brill, Greyson K. Reilly, and Robin Weigert.

Netflix shared the trailer on its official Instagram account on Monday.
