In a grand evening filled with cheers and a hint of drama, Mexico’s Fatima Bosch was declared the winner of Miss Universe 2025. The 25-year-old beauty, who had already captured hearts across the world, walked away with the crown after delivering one of the most inspiring answers of the night. Her win came as a moment of pride for Mexico, while India’s hopes for a spot in the Top 12 came to an early end.

A champion rises despite controversy

Earlier in the pageant, Fatima Bosch made headlines when she walked out in her evening gown and heels, reportedly after being scolded by a Thai pageant director. The incident sent shockwaves among viewers.

In the final moments of the show, last year’s winner, Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark, placed the crown on Fatima’s head.

India’s journey ends early

For India, the night was bittersweet. Manika Vishwakarma who is a 21-year-old Political Science and Economics student from Rajasthan represented the country with confidence and grace. She had earlier earned the title of Miss Universe Rajasthan 2024 and made it to the Top 30.

However, her journey ended before the Top 12 announcement.

The Miss Universe 2026 pageant will be held in Puerto Rico promising a fresh stage, new faces and new stories.
