Indian cricket star Hardik Pandya isn’t holding back. The all-rounder recently took to social media to voice his frustration after paparazzi reportedly overstepped their boundaries while photographing his girlfriend Mahieka Sharma.
Hardik’s Instagram story quickly drew attention as he addressed what he called “disrespectful and intrusive” behaviour. In his post, the cricketer described a recent incident where Mahieka Sharma, 24, was simply walking down a staircase at a Bandra restaurant when photographers snapped images from angles that no woman should be subjected to.
“It’s part of the life I’ve chosen to live in the public eye, and I understand that comes with scrutiny,” Hardik wrote. “But today something happened that crossed a line. A private moment was turned into cheap sensationalism.”
Hardik went on to request respect for basic human dignity, not just for Mahieka but for all women. “This isn’t about headlines or who clicked what, it’s about basic respect. Women deserve dignity. Everyone deserves boundaries,” he wrote. “To the media brothers who work hard every day: I respect your hustle, and I always cooperate. But please be mindful. Not every angle needs to be captured. Let’s keep some humanity in this game.”
