For years, Indian fans of the legendary American rock band have been chanting, trending, and hoping for the day when their favorite group would bring its music to the country. Now, that dream has turned into reality.
Linkin Park has officially announced that they will headline ‘Lollapalooza India 2026’, marking their first-ever performance in India.
The big moment is set for January 25, 2026, at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai, and excitement is already through the roof. The show will be part of their ongoing ‘From Zero World Tour’.
The news reached fans in a special way. Instead of a flashy press conference or social media teaser, the band shared the announcement through a personal newsletter sent directly to their global fanbase.
The newsletter even featured the official festival poster before general ticket sales went live. Starting August 28 at 12 pm IST, tickets will be available on ‘lollaindia.com’ and ‘BookMyShow’.
The Mumbai date is already listed on the official Linkin Park website as part of their worldwide tour calendar.

Mike Shinoda, co-founder of Linkin Park, expressed the band’s feelings in the announcement. “India has been somewhere we’ve wanted to play for a long time. Our fans there are incredibly passionate and we can’t wait to finally bring our live show to them,” he wrote.
It comes just two years after the group returned to the spotlight with their album ‘From Zero’. It was their first full project since the heartbreaking loss of lead vocalist Chester Bennington in 2017.
The new album introduced fresh faces into the lineup: vocalist Emily Armstrong, drummer Colin Brittain, and guitarist Alex Federer, who now join original members Shinoda, Brad Delson, Joe Hahn, Rob Bourdon, and Dave ‘Phoenix’ Farrell.
The band, known for shaping an entire generation’s taste in rock, embraced a new era with songs like ‘The Emptiness Machine’, their first single after years of pause.
As for Lollapalooza India, the festival itself is now entering its fourth edition. Over the years, it has hosted major global stars including Sting, Green Day, Imagine Dragons, Jonas Brothers, and Shawn Mendes, and more.
