The pre-order is already open on Amazon.
This 2025 version of ‘Lilo & Stitch’ is a remake of Disney’s beloved 2002 animated movie. The heartwarming story is about Stitch, a mischievous blue alien who crash-lands on Earth while trying to escape trouble in outer space.
On Earth, he meets Lilo, a spirited Hawaiian girl who feels like an outsider. Together, with Lilo’s older sister Nani, they form an unusual but loving family.
The film is packed with fun, laughter, and touching moments. It also highlights the Hawaiian spirit of “Ohana,” which means family, and that nobody gets left behind or forgotten.

Another fun part of the film? Both Lilo and Stitch bond over their shared love for Elvis Presley music, bringing some rock ’n’ roll energy into the mix.
Dean Fleischer Camp directed the movie, and it has done exceptionally well since its release on May 23. In fact, it surprised everyone by collecting more than $146 million during its opening weekend. It even beat out ‘Mission Impossible—The Final Reckoning’, which released at the same time.
So far, ‘Lilo & Stitch’ has earned over $1 billion worldwide, becoming the first film of 2025 to cross the billion-dollar mark.
That’s a huge win for Disney, especially after their recent live-action remake of ‘Snow White’ disappointed both fans and critics, earning just around $205 million at the box office.
If you prefer physical copies, you won’t have to wait too long. The film will release on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on August 26. Disney has not officially announced the streaming date for Disney+, but it’s likely to arrive there later this year after the rental and purchase period is over.
