Kim Kardashian on Donald Trump: Kim Kardashian didn’t just sparkle on the Venice red carpet Thursday, she used the moment to speak about Donald Trump and his policies.
Honored at Diane von Furstenberg’s DVF Awards for her work in criminal justice reform, the reality star and entrepreneur took the stage to highlight issues in the U.S. justice system and immigration policy.
Before receiving the award from Chris Young, a man she helped free from a life sentence, Kardashian sat down with journalists for a roundtable discussion. When asked about the ongoing ICE raids across the country, she didn’t mince words.
“You hear in the news that it’s about people who have committed crimes and are trying to help the country,” she said. “But then you hear about all the hardworking people who have built this country, and so many of them are being affected. People I know. People my friends know.”

She criticized the disconnect between policy and protection, saying, “You want to believe there’s a powerful message in protection, but you see that it’s not really happening like that. It’s really tough. I think we have to do what we can to protect the people who have really supported and built our country.”
Kardashian’s advocacy journey has made headlines for years. She first gained major attention in 2020 for helping secure Alice Johnson’s pardon and later fought for Chris Young, who received a sentence to life without parole for a low-level drug offense and served 11 years before Trump commuted his sentence in 2021.
When asked about the Menendez brothers, Erik and Lyle still serving life sentences for murdering their parents in 1989, Kardashian said she would continue her advocacy regardless of administration.
