Pop singer Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were recently seen having dinner together in Montreal, and the internet is buzzing with questions.
The two were spotted on Monday, July 28, at a well-known local restaurant called Le Violon. According to ‘People’ magazine, they shared a meal, enjoyed some drinks, and even took time to meet the chef, Danny Smiles.
The staff at the restaurant were reportedly happy when both Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau visited the kitchen to thank them after their dinner.
One of the dishes served was lobster.
So far, neither Katy Perry’s nor Justin Trudeau’s teams have made any public statement about the dinner or what the meeting was about. But the timing of this outing has caught attention, especially since both have recently gone through major changes in their personal lives.
In June, Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom ended their engagement after being together for almost 10 years. The couple released a joint statement saying they had been gradually shifting their relationship and were now focusing on co-parenting their daughter, Daisy Dove, who remains their top priority.

As for Justin Trudeau, he also made headlines last year when he and his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau announced their separation. The couple was together for 18 years and have three children together: Xavier (17), Ella-Grace (16), and Hadrien (11).
At the time, Trudeau shared a personal message on social media, saying that he and Sophie had gone through “many meaningful and difficult conversations” before making the decision to part ways. He emphasized that they would remain a close family and asked the public to respect their privacy, especially for the sake of their children.
