Karan Johar to remake Vijay Deverakonda’s Telugu film, Dear Comrade in Hindi

Karan Johar has acquired the Hindi remake rights of Telugu film Dear Comrade. The producer-director announced the news on social media.

Complimenting Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandann for their performance in the film, he shared that his production house, Dharma had acquired the remake rights.

“Stunning and powerful love story! With top notch performances and exceptional music by @justin_tunes On point debut direction by @bharatkamma@TheDeverakonda is BRILLIANT as is @iamRashmika well done @MythriOfficial ! ANNOUNCING that @DharmaMovies to REMAKE this beautiful film,” wrote Karan on his official Twitter handle.

Vijay Deverakonda responded to the news by posting a heartfelt message for the filmmaker. He wrote, “So proud to have this man, watch, love and be the one to remake our baby #DearComrade in Hindi. Team DearComradeComrade @karanjohar biggest hugs, love and respect for you. Can’t wait to do something mad with you and @DharmaMovies#DearComradeOnJuly26th.”

Karan also shared pictures with Dear Comrade‘s team and also a poster of the film while announcing the news.

Dear Comrade has been written and directed by Bharat Kamma and will release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada on 26 July 2019.
