Trouble seems to follow comedian-actor Kapil Sharma even across continents. Chaos erupted on Thrusday outside his popular Kap’s cafe in Surrey, Canada as multiple gunshots rang out. Fortunately no civilians reportedly faced injuries this time but the attack has once again raised serious concerns about security and safety.

Kulveer Sidhu and Goldy Dhillon, gang members of the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, have claimed the incident. In a social media post, the duo made it clear that they do not intend to target ordinary people.

Their message, however, carried a sharp warning for those who owe them or cheat them, as well as for Bollywood personalities they believe have spoken against their religion. They wrote: “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. Today’s firing at Caps Cafe, Surrey, was carried out by me, Kulveer Sidhu, and Goldy Dhillon. We hold no grudge against the general public. Those who owe us or cheat us will get the warning. Bollywood individuals who speak against our religion should also be prepared, bullets can come from anywhere.”

This marks the third attack in just four months at Kapil Sharma’s Canadian cafe. The first incident had links to Harjit Singh Laddi, a wanted terrorist associated with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). The attack reportedly stemmed from certain remarks made by Kapil Sharma that were ‘offensive’ to the Nihang Sikh community.

The second attack involved gangs connected to Goldy Dhillon and Lawrence Bishnoi. Bishnoi, currently in jail, has long been on a mission against Bollywood superstar Salman Khan over the infamous blackbuck hunting case which outraged the Bishnoi community.

Over the years, his gang has been notorious in targeting people close to Salman, and Kapil Sharma’s prior association with the superstar through shows produced by Salman may have drawn unwanted attention.

This pattern of violence is not new. Last October, politician Baba Siddique was shot near his Mumbai residence with Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang claiming responsibility.
