Time flies, but memories stay forever. Actress Mona Singh, who became a household name as Jassi in the hit show ‘Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin’, has now completed 22 years in the entertainment industry.

To mark this special milestone, the actress surprised her fans on Instagram with rare, unseen photographs from the iconic drama that first aired in 2003.

The comment section of her post turned into a celebration of Jassi’s legacy. Actor Pulkit Samrat dropped a sweet note with, “Loveeeeee it!!!!” followed by a red heart emoji.

Fans, too, poured in their emotions and gratitude. One Instagram user recalled, “One of the most loved shows of its time! Shows come and go, but no one can forget Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin.”

Another fan shared a deeply personal note, saying the show changed how they viewed themselves: “I was a young girl straight out of school and this show changed how I looked at myself. Much before Instagram and social media went all out for body positivity, you raised the bar.”

For some, the show was connected with their professional memories too. One user revealed they were working with Sony TV’s sales team when ‘Jassi’ launched and had even handled some of the brand integrations in the very first episode. They wrote, “I met you briefly but was shy of taking a pic then… love your work and spirit.”

‘Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin’ was no ordinary show. Premiering on September 1, 2003, on Sony TV, the series broke the monotony of the glittery ‘saas-bahu’ dramas dominating Indian television at that time.

Mona Singh’s character, Jasmeet Walia, an intelligent, bespectacled, braces-wearing woman, became the voice of every underdog.
