Himesh Reshammiya on Operation Sindoor: Delhi witnessed more than just a concert on Saturday night. It experienced an emotional rollercoaster, courtesy of Himesh Reshammiya.
The singer-composer, known for his catchy tunes and signature nasal singing style, took a heartfelt pause during his performance to honour the Indian Armed Forces for their recent success in Operation Sindoor.
Performing at the Indira Gandhi Arena as part of his Cap Mania Tour, Himesh asked the packed audience to join him in saluting the jawans.
“Sab kuch hoga, par unhe nahi bhoolna chahiye jinki wajah se hum aaj ek dusre ko mil pa rahe hain. Salute to our brave soldiers. Jai Hind! Operation Sindoor Zindabad,” he said.
The moment didn’t end with words. Himesh followed it up with an emotional rendition of ‘Dil Diya Hai Jaan Bhi Denge Aye Watan Tere Liye’, the iconic patriotic song from the 1986 film ‘Karma’.
As he sang, the Indian tricolour lit up the giant screen behind him.
The Cap Mania Tour, presented by Saregama Live, kicked off its Delhi leg on July 19 and will wrap up on July 20. Saturday’s show was nothing short of electric. Thousands of fans, most of them sporting customised “HR” caps, gathered under one roof to celebrate their favourite singer’s return to live performances.

Himesh didn’t just stick to a setlist. He brought his unique brand of humour too. At one point, he playfully asked the crowd, “Thoda regular gaaun ya naak se gaaun?” (Should I sing normally or from my nose?).
The cheeky question had the entire stadium in stitches.
Of course, he delivered what the fans came for; a long list of his chartbusters. From dance floor anthems like ‘Tandoori Nights’, ‘Hookah Bar’, and ‘Long Drive’, to evergreen hits like ‘Jhalak Dikhlaa Ja’, the crowd sang along and danced the night away.
But the night wasn’t just about high-energy numbers. Himesh took fans on a trip down memory lane, performing early 2000s classics. That included ‘Chakna Chakna’ and ‘Viraaniya’ from ‘Namastey London’.
Adding a personal touch, his wife Sonia Reshammiya joined him briefly on stage. She spoke a few lines about love.
The evening also featured stellar performances from singers Pragati Nagpal, Arjun Tanwar, and Maahi.
