Harry Styles hints at fourth album after four-year break with ‘We Belong Together’ campaign and fan WhatsApp group

If you thought Harry Styles had hung up his microphone after ‘Love On Tour’, think again. The British heartthrob seems to be stirring up the music world in a way only he can, by going completely cryptic. Fans around the globe are buzzing after mysterious billboards appeared in major cities hinting at a possible end to his four-year musical silence.

“We Belong Together” pops up everywhere

The posters, spotted in New York, Manchester, Palermo, Sao Paulo, Berlin, and a dozen other cities, feature a single, tantalising message: “we belong together.”

Behind the text, there’s a photo of a packed stadium from the final show of Styles’ 2022-23 world tour.

And as if that wasn’t enough to fuel speculation, a website matching the billboard’s branding launched at the same time. Clicking through opens a WhatsApp group called HSHQ, short for Harry Styles Headquarters.

A possible fourth album on the horizon

All signs point to one thing: Styles may be gearing up to announce his fourth solo album. After wrapping his ‘Love On Tour’ in 2023, he largely disappeared from the public eye except for a brief flirtation with marathon running.

Yes, you read that right. Styles was spotted at both the Tokyo and Berlin Marathons, clocking an impressive 2 hours 59 minutes in Berlin last September. He even made headlines popping up at St. Peter’s Square for the announcement of the new pope and spending Christmas in his Cheshire hometown with actress Zoe Kravitz. Despite these detours, insiders believe he’s been quietly working on new music since the end of his tour.

The last album set the bar high

If this is indeed lead-up to a new record, expectations will be sky-high. His last album 2022’s ‘Harry’s House’ won multiple Brit and Grammy awards and produced fan favourites like ‘As It Was’, ‘Late Night Talking’, ‘Music For A Sushi Restaurant’.

Rumours suggest that studio sessions for new record began as early as August 2024, when Styles was entering London’s RAK Studios. Australian radio hosts claimed last year that the album was already finished and even claimed Styles wrote it entirely “on a typewriter”.

Big stage plans?

Alongside the cryptic billboards, whispers of concert plans have also surfaced. Reports indicate that Styles may be taking up a residency at New York’s Madison Square Garden, the site of his 15-night triumph on his last tour.

There’s also talk of a stint at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena, a venue he partially invested in and where this year’s Brit Awards will take place.
