Model and entrepreneur Hailey Bieber recently gave a heartfelt interview to ‘Vogue Italia’, sharing her emotional journey through pregnancy, childbirth, and becoming a mother.
Speaking honestly, she talked about the joy of welcoming her baby boy, Jack Blues Bieber, as well as the physical and emotional struggles she faced before and after giving birth.
Hailey, 28, and husband Justin Bieber became parents last year. The couple, who married when Hailey was just 21, renewed their vows in a quiet ceremony in Hawaii around the same time they were expecting their first child.
Though the pregnancy was a happy moment for the couple, Hailey revealed that it wasn’t all easy.
She had always dreamed of being a mother, especially after seeing her older sister go through it. But when it finally happened to her, she admitted she wasn’t fully prepared. “I wasn’t ready for something like this at all,” she said.
Even though she enjoyed her pregnancy and felt more confident in her body, everything changed after giving birth.
The birth didn’t go as planned. In the 39th week of her pregnancy, Hailey began leaking amniotic fluid. Doctors had to act quickly. They decided to induce labour using a drug called oxytocin and a Foley balloon, a device that helps to open the cervix.

Hailey described it as the most painful thing she has ever experienced.
When baby Jack was born, weighing eight pounds, Hailey said she was just relieved he was healthy. But then, a serious complication happened. She began bleeding heavily, what doctors call postpartum haemorrhage.
“I had complete faith in my doctor,” she said, “but I was bleeding a lot, and people die, and that’s a thought that crosses your mind.”
But, Hailey recovered. She said that after everything, Justin looked at her differently. “Suddenly, your partner sees you as a goddess, a superhero,” she said with a smile. Justin, she added, told her, “I’m living the life I’ve always dreamed of,” as he stepped into his new role as a father.
Hailey also opened up about dealing with online hate while going through all this. After giving birth, she faced a flood of negative comments on social media, making an already difficult time even harder.
While she tried to enjoy her time with her baby, it was not easy dealing with harsh words from strangers.
