Foo Fighters have officially announced their debut India tour. The American rock band will perform in two cities, Bengaluru and Mumbai, in January 2027. The Bengaluru show is scheduled for January 29, 2027, at Bengaluru LIVE. The Mumbai show follows two days later on January 31, 2027, at Mahalaxmi Race Course.

The announcement was made by BookMyShow on Monday, June 15, 2026. The band has been active for over three decades. This will be the first time they perform on Indian soil.

Dave Grohl, the band’s lead singer, commented on the announcement: “After 31 years…we can’t wait to FINALLY play for our fans in India!! It’s taken a few years, but we promise it’ll be worth the wait. We hope Bengaluru and Mumbai are ready for a couple of very long, very loud nights.”

Part of the Take Cover world tour

The India shows are part of the band’s ongoing Take Cover world tour, which also includes festival appearances such as Pinkpop in the Netherlands and Rock in Rio in Brazil.

The Take Cover tour officially kicked off on August 4 in Toronto, Canada, for its North America leg. The Europe portion began on June 10 in Oslo, Norway, with the Australia and New Zealand leg starting in November.

The India concerts will follow the band’s Australia and New Zealand shows in January 2027.

The shows are being promoted under the Bandland on Tour series, produced by BookMyShow Live.

Who is in the band?

The current lineup consists of frontman Dave Grohl, guitarist Pat Smear, bassist Nate Mendel, guitarist Chris Shiflett, keyboardist Rami Jaffee, and recently-inducted drummer Ilan Rubin.

Rubin was formerly a member of Nine Inch Nails. He joined Foo Fighters after the departure of drummer Josh Freese. The band made their live return in September 2025 with a brief run of US pop-up dates and a tour of Asia, which marked their first performances with Rubin.

The band is known for hits including Everlong, My Hero, Learn to Fly, All My Life, and Times Like These.

New album released this year

Foo Fighters released their 12th studio album, Your Favorite Toy, in April 2026. The India dates come shortly after the album’s release. The band had also released two new singles in 2025, Today Song in July and Asking for a Friend later in the year.

Supporting acts in both cities

Both concerts are structured as all-day events with multiple supporting acts performing before Foo Fighters take the stage.

In Bengaluru, the supporting lineup includes Pinkshift, Alain Johannes, Die Spitz, and The Pretty Reckless.

In Mumbai, the supporting acts are Mali, Still In Therapy, Die Spitz, and The Pretty Reckless.

The Pretty Reckless is a New York-based rock act. Die Spitz is based in Austin, Texas. Pinkshift is rock band. Alain Johannes is folk-rock artist performing in Bengaluru. Still In Therapy is a Goa-based rock act, while Mali is a singer-songwriter performing in Mumbai.

Ticket details

Tickets go on sale at 12:00 PM IST on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. They will be available exclusively through BookMyShow.

Naman Pugalia, Chief Business Officer for Live Events at BookMyShow, said the shows promise to deliver a festival experience that celebrates the power and community of live rock music.

Long-running speculation

Rumours of a Foo Fighters India concert had been circulating since last year. The announcement follows teasers shared by festival and tour series Bandland in the days before the official reveal.

The band’s India debut comes at a point when the live music market in the country has seen growing interest in international rock acts. The choice of Bengaluru and Mumbai reflects the two cities’ established audiences for large-scale international concerts.

No further India dates have been announced beyond the two confirmed shows.
